I was able to take my 250-cup player to 928 between now and yesterday. Part of the effect is dead accounts do not retaliate. The cups you win, you keep.
The other part of it is a widespread blunder among Armor players. As long as I have enough food and keep clicking "Next," with patience I will find the player at my level who has placed the Totem outside the walls or behind just one layer of wall.
Here is an example.
Can you guess where the totem was located?
Using this simple trick, my crummy army wins one crummy victory after another:
And when I say crummy army, hear me out: 70 units, level 1 warriors, slingers, gorillas and bombers with a golem thrown in for heavier work.
Why does this trick work? Well I am currently in a clan at Armor made up of people who started off at more or less the same level. The top guy has 1,132 cups. What does he know? Everything is experimentation. He can help the guy with 800 cups (a little bit) but no one can help him.
I look at the clans and I see bunches of people who joined together at the same level.
I think these young clans with cohorts of equal experience are more likely to get stuck, frustrated, bored and then drop out.
If you join an active clan, you need players in it that are way ahead of your own level.
My crummy army will still win cups but not as many and not as fast as before since I have gotten a new target list. But in that target group, I see more mistakes made by players who abandoned the game. A few upgrades on my end and it's back to the races.
