(1) Build your village so the attacker has to go through three walls to reach the totem.
(2) Give your high value buildings the most protection.
(3) Place towers within firing range of each other (3 protecting 3 is good)
(4) Place your clan headquarters near the totem so clan troops can defend the totem
(5) Protect mortars so they can keep firing the longest
(6) Upgrade weapons, priority to mortars, least of all magic towers
Tricks and tips
If enemies are deploying on the edge of your village to bring out your fast golem and kill it, change gems so that your golem becomes very slow. Place your slow golem near the totem. Enemies will not be able to kill the golem quickly with cheap troops because the golem will enter the battle later.
If you are being hit with pters, ask your clan mates for shaman defensive troops before signing off. When you are attacked, shaman and slingers will fire at birds but shaman can bring them down fast.
Here are some tricky village shapes.
(1) Cells
This player has created a lot of cells for attackers to work through. It eats up their time to work through so many walls. His mistake is that the attacker only needs to break two walls to reach the totem.
(2) Cloverleaf
This player created four mini villages, each of which has good mutual fire support. Usually this shape is closed up, but this player left the ends open, which makes it a kind of swastika pattern. Not only does the attacker have to deal with four mini villages, the bombers will not attack the walls, they will run down the North-South-East-West streets until they are killed.
(3) Maze
There are different shapes of mazes and they all have openings that draw in attackers who then run down a killing track. The maze depends on good, interlocking mutual fire support. If the shooters are too far apart, the attacker will knock them out, one by one. The swastika is a kind of maze that we have posted about before.
